The EEDA and its services

Learn about the EEDA, its mission, its services, and even the March Madness Restaurant Rebate incentive during March 2021.

The Edmond Economic Development Authority exists to assist new businesses in Edmond and our existing business community. It is the job of this organization to offer resources that stimulate the Edmond economy’s growth either through new and expanding business or by increasing the sales tax base of the city. The EEDA offers an Edmond Economic Incentive Policy that, on a case-by-case basis, will give consideration for incentives. The policy includes a plan for primary business (non-retail) or secondary business (retail). For more information, visit our website

Other services provided by the EEDA include a wide range of demographic information by specific intersection, zip codes, and for the entire city. We keep extensive cost of living data and can compare Edmond to over 300 cities in North America. A comprehensive online real estate database is available, including existing land and buildings available for industrial, office, and retail use.

The premier marketing piece produced by the EEDA is the Economic Abstract, an annual publication containing Edmond’s most impressive data. The 2021 Abstract will be available within the next several weeks. The Fast Fact Card is a business card sized fact sheet of Edmond data and is produced annually. The 2021 version is now available at the EEDA office. A variety of monthly reports on residential and commercial real estate and transactions, permit information, and sales tax information are also produced. Much of this information is trended back over ten years. Just about all of this information is available on our website.

The EEDA holds an annual event called the Economic Preview, held at the Hilton Garden Inn conference center. This year the event is being transitioned to three one-hour virtual sessions sponsored by First Fidelity Bank. The first of these sessions will be on April 7th at 9:00 am and will feature Edmond residential and multi-family market information. The second session will be on April 14th at 9:00 am and will feature Edmond office market information. The third session will be on April 21st at 9:00 am and will feature Edmond retail market information.

The EEDA will be partnering with the Edmond Chamber for a March Madness Restaurant Rebate. For every $50 you spend at any restaurant in Edmond city limits during the month, you can get a $10 gift card back to the restaurant you supported. For details, visit this page on the Edmond Chamber website.

We encourage you to shop locally and support Edmond businesses!
