Partnering for the future

Publisher Tim Priebe shares some exciting news about the future of Edmond Business.

In the short amount of time Edmond Business has been around, I’ve relied heavily on other people to help me build it up and fulfill its mission. My wife has been instrumental, and I’ve been working with several contributors and strategic partners.

But ultimately, this has been my baby. Over the past six months, I’ve been the one coordinating more than twenty contributors, marketers, advertisers, and more. It has taken a village, but the buck stops here.

Not any longer! I’m proud to announce that Phil Klutts is joining me as a full partner in Edmond Business and its parent company.

Phil reached out to me well before the magazine’s launch to see how he could be involved. The business book review he’s been doing seemed to be a natural fit for his talents. And when I needed someone to feature in an ongoing series of marketing videos, Phil was willing and able.

I’m fortunate to have known Phil for a number of years. I say “a number” because he and I couldn’t remember exactly how long we’ve known each other. We’ve attended church together for quite a while and started doing some work together professionally back in 2014 when Phil agreed to be a test reader for one of my books before publication.

Since then, we’ve been each other’s clients as well. My team at T&S Online Marketing and I have helped him with digital marketing, and he’s helped us with processes and procedures.

Now Phil is joining the Edmond Business team as Managing Partner. And while that may mean he has to manage his partner to a certain extent, he’ll be helping with a variety of things, including:

  • Systemizing processes
  • Reviewing press releases we receive
  • Working with some of our strategic partners
  • Helping to manage social media
  • Ad sales

Phil will also continue to handle the business book reviews and take over the management of the monthly business book giveaway. Phil also has a pre-existing relationship with several of our contributors, so he will help with those relationships too.

I’m excited to see where Phil and I will take Edmond Business during our second six months and into the future as well.
