An oasis that feels like family

Royal Oak Salon & Spa has been a relaxing escape on Edmond’s west side for over a decade. Their team offers a wide range of client services, including hair care, skin care, lashes, massages, and more.

“The moment you walk in our doors, you’ll feel the elegant atmosphere,” said Lisa Kennedy, Royal Oak’s owner and founder.

Relaxing in style

Kennedy founded Royal Oak to fill a gap in high-end salon services within the community. From the Swarovski crystal chandeliers, hand-carved columns, handwoven carpets, and Belgian wall tapestries, the salon is built to help you relax in style.

“Enjoying monthly massages myself and tired of supporting large franchises and receiving horrible customer service, I felt there was a need for an elegant spa that people would be proud to walk in and out of for their spa services,” she said.

“I’m a believer in massages and the healing benefits they provide but felt Oklahoma didn’t have any upscale, luxurious spas that provided such services with good customer service.”

In 2010, Royal Oak opened its doors.

A customer focus

Since its opening, the salon has kept customers as its focus. As Royal Oak expanded its menu to meet evolving client needs, it also expanded its walls, doubling in size over the years.

“This is a forever-changing industry as technology and products advance,” Kennedy said. “This allows me as a salon and spa owner to offer new services and products each year to help our customers always feel and look their best.”

And that level of customer service lies in the details. Clients can book appointments seven days a week, with specials monthly, and Royal Oak offers complimentary mimosas, champagne, and wine before their services.

“We feel like a family at Royal Oak — one that supports and respects one another and cares for each other,” Kennedy said. “We all have a common goal, and that’s to make each customer feel like they’re part of our Royal family.”

A commitment to family

For Kennedy, family is everything, and she stays committed to spending time with them whenever possible.

“I love our family vacations around the world to be able to experience different cultures, food, and environments. It allows us to have quality time together and learn something new from each vacation helping us to be more cultured.”

She works hard to maintain a work-family balance, but family is also a cornerstone of her business.

“Success is measured in many ways for me personally and successfully — being able to make another person feel good about themselves: beautiful, pain- and stress-free. And helping them to glow with happiness because they look and feel fabulous from the customer service they received at Royal Oak,” she said.

“I love helping our customers feel like they are part of our Royal family and develop these relationships and cultivate them to grow through the years.”
