Edmond residents continue to be locally and nationally recognized for their service, leadership, and achievements. Here are a few highlights from 2022.

In July, Jill Castilla, President and CEO of Citizens Bank of Edmond, and Avila Williams, Vice President of Clinical Services at INTEGRIS Health, were appointed as Trustees to the Hawai’i Pacific University governing board. Castilla earned her bachelor’s degree in finance from HPU and has served on the Citizens Bank executive team since 2009. Williams previously served as president of INTEGRIS Health Edmond and graduated from HPU with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Miles E. Hall, Edmond entrepreneur and shooting industry advocate, was recently appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt as board commissioner for the J.M. Davis Arms and Historical Museum in Claremore. Hall and his wife Jayne founded H&H Shooting Sports Complex in 1981, the first facility to receive a “5 Star” rating from the National Shooting Sports Foundation. He has been a leader in the shooting sports industry for more than 40 years and will serve his term for three years.

Edmond accounting firm Arledge is celebrating two professionals recently recognized by the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. James Denton and Kency Duarte were 2022 award recipients.

James Denton, Arledge partner emeritus/weather management advisor, was named a Pathfinder, defined as “an elite group of Oklahoma CPAs who are successful and well respected for their achievements, contributions, and ability to welcome new CPAs to the profession.” He has been with Arledge since 1984 and is known for his outstanding leadership and mentorship.

Kency Duarte, assurance senior manager, was honored with the Trailblazer Award, which recognizes top talent among its members under age 40 with five or fewer years of experience as a CPA. Duarte is a member of the OSCPA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee and volunteers with various organizations in Oklahoma City.

Congratulations to all of these individuals on their impressive accomplishments!
