Jude Stringfellow writes with confidence

Who is Jude Stringfellow? I met Jude through LinkedIn, and ever since, her story has been like one of those accordion picture books. You know, the one in the cartoon that seems to never end but keeps you mesmerized—that’s Jude. Her story is nothing shy of mesmerizing.

At the heart of it all, Stringfellow is a storyteller, a mother, and an educator. Her passion and persistence paid off for her in a big way. From interviews with Oprah Winfrey (Yes! THE Oprah Winfrey), Montel Williams, and more to inspiring and touching the lives of millions in the military with her amazing two-legged walking dog, Faith.

Faith was actually the inspiration for Stringfellow’s first book. Faith did more than inspire the hearts of millions. More importantly, she gave Jude a voice and the confidence to tell her story, and that she did.

Stringfellow began writing a blog, aptly named Jude’s Almost Daily Blog, in 2007.

“Since the blog began, I’ve written more than 700 individual posts,” she says. In her new book, Jude’s Almost Daily Blog, Stringfellow has compiled and curated a selection of musings and rants. “I like to think of myself as a modern-day Erma Bombeck,” Stringfellow says. “She and I view life from the same colored lens.”

In the book, Stringfellow presents 100 blog posts inspired by her life experiences. Ranging from entertaining anecdotes, like the time the author laughed herself right out of a job to consulting Google for medical advice to more significant topics, such as bonding with an accidental texter to the author’s worry and need for her son to return home safely from war, Stringfellow’s posts were written to inject more humor into the world, as laughter is truly the best medicine. “There is really no one way to describe the book, but there is something for everyone,” she says.

Stringfellow has no plans to stop with this book. There are plans to publish future blog volumes as well as a children’s book series. Jude’s Almost Daily Blog is available for purchase online at Amazon.com.

Jude Stringfellow holds a Ph.D. in administration and intermittently lectures at the University of Central Oklahoma. She is the author of five books, and she trains horses in her spare time.
