Property Management & Realty celebrates 25 years

The team at Property Management and Realty (PMR) serves the Edmond community as a rental management company that manages single-family homes for clients who don’t want to sell. They also connect renters with their new rental homes and work with investors to locate properties to build their businesses.

Lori Eddlemon’s mother first purchased a rental management company in Midwest City in 1995. Lori worked long hours alongside her mother, covering a large territory of rental homes. Wanting to focus on a smaller territory and minimize drive time between properties, they moved to Edmond in 2003, and at that time, Lori became the branch office broker. The location at 1751 W. 33^rd Street provided them with the ability to focus solely on the Edmond area. Now, they have access to most properties within 15 minutes of the office. This close proximity allows them to focus more of their time on their clients and less time on the road. 

Eddlemon claims their success is based on two things: internet marketing and a commitment to service. The company website showcases properties using professional wide lens photography images, 3-D walkthroughs, floor plans, and video tours. “In this day and age, all home searches begin online,” says Lori. 

The same website also provides tenant services. Rental clients have the ability to:

• Enter maintenance requests
• Sign contracts
• Pay their rent from the comfort of their homes 

Homeowners can also rest assured that their properties will be well taken care of. PMR services include a baseline inspection of the home, detailing any initial repairs that need completed prior to renting. If desired, Lori can connect the homeowners with service vendors who can make the repairs for them. Once renters occupy the property, PMR conducts inspections twice a year to ensure the home is well maintained. Inspections offer home owners peace of mind, while also ensuring the tenants’ homes remain in excellent condition. 

While PMR is in a growth period, currently managing 160-200 properties, they have decided that they don’t want to get too large. When asked what sets PMR apart from other property management companies, Lori stated it is their commitment to building relationships with both owners and tenants. She wants all of her clients to know that they are valued and that the staff at PMR will take care of them. This model has proven successful for 25 years now; exceptional service never goes out of style.
