Cool treats in Edmond

Edmond has some of the finest treats for keeping cool in the entire metro. Our team braved the heat and visited local ice cream shops, snow cone stands, and even the sole physical Bondi Bowl store in Oklahoma to find the best treats in town.

Downtown Edmond hosts Sunny Dayz Mural Festival

The Sunny Dayz Mural Festival hosted its second annual event in downtown Edmond on August 6, with more than 40 female artists creating new public art. The event is Oklahoma’s first and only mural festival dedicated to celebrating women in the arts. Sunny Dayz, established in March 2021 by Virginia Sitzes, sets out to empower, elevate and celebrate female and nonbinary artists and muralists through the creation and advocacy of public art.

Edmond hosts first Children’s Business Fair

Edmond’s inaugural Children’s Business Fair took place at the Edmond Railyard on June 17, bringing together entrepreneurial youth to sell their homemade or homegrown goods. The event was organized by Chisholm Creek Acton Academy to encourage kids to launch their own startups.

Leadership Edmond graduates largest class in history

The Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the graduation of Leadership Edmond Class XXXVI at the Edmond Conference Center. Class XXXVI was the largest in program history with 43 members, including Ward 1 Edmond City Councilman David Chapman, Ward 3 Edmond City Councilwoman Christin Mugg, and Oklahoma House Representative Ryan Martinez. At the graduation ceremony, Michelle Schaefer, Leadership Edmond Class XV graduate, was recognized as the 2022 Leadership Edmond Alumni of the Year.
