Phil is an Edmond native and has managed to keep his wife here instead of traveling the world, which they both enjoy. They have two boys who love the outdoors, adventures, and learning new things. Phil is a problem-solver at heart and enjoys connecting people to the resources they need.

In addition to being the co-owner of Edmond Business, Phil founded the CK Group LLC after working for large and small businesses in the Energy, Construction, and Fitness industries. He focuses on helping small businesses and entrepreneurs improve their systems and processes. Leadership Edmond graduates largest class in history

The Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the graduation of Leadership Edmond Class XXXVI at the Edmond Conference Center. Class XXXVI was the largest in program history with 43 members, including Ward 1 Edmond City Councilman David Chapman, Ward 3 Edmond City Councilwoman Christin Mugg, and Oklahoma House Representative Ryan Martinez. At the graduation ceremony, Michelle Schaefer, Leadership Edmond Class XV graduate, was recognized as the 2022 Leadership Edmond Alumni of the Year.

Edmond sisters Emily McKnight and Erin Cornell opened Collected Home in 2020 to help local residents with home organization and decluttering. Their services go beyond the traditional organizers with owners who strive to know every client personally and develop plans that will fit their unique lifestyles. Prior to founding Collected Home, McKnight worked in the oil and gas industry for more than 15 years, and Cornell had been taking time off after selling another business. Both looking for a change, the sisters decided to start a home organizing business together.

Edmond awards youth baseball & softball league programs

The Edmond City Council voted in October 2021 to end a contract with the existing operator of the City’s youth baseball and softball programs, and a Request for Qualifications was then issued for a new entity to manage these popular programs. Thirteen responses were submitted to the RFQ. A panel of City staff and volunteer board members reviewed the submissions and selected six to move on to the next round in the process.
