Sherry Jordan honored as 55 over 55
Long-time Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Sherry Jordan was recently honored as one of the 55 over 55 Inspiring Oklahomans. This award honors Oklahomans who drive future growth by fostering innovation, inclusivity, and support for entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and business communities across the state.
EEDA Executive Director Janet Yowell retiring
The Edmond Economic Development Authority (EEDA) recently announced that their Executive Director Janet Yowell will be retiring effective January 31, 2025. Janet has served the Edmond area for 35 years.
Preston Watterson Announces Candidacy
Preston Watterson, longtime Edmond resident and community leader, has announced his candidacy for Edmond City Council, Ward 3, focusing on responsible growth, financial diligence, collaboration, and preserving Edmond’s strengths. With 21+ years in engineering and project management, Watterson brings experience from major projects with the U.S. Air Force and Navy and extensive community involvement, including service on Edmond’s Capital Improvement Projects Advisory Board and local nonprofits.

Ted’s Café Escondido in Edmond is temporarily closed due to storm damage, with reopening planned for December 16, 2024. To continue to support this local business, you can still enjoy Ted’s at their other metro locations, including 150th & Penn, North OKC, West OKC, and South OKC.
